The checker: images stay on your device

When you use the checker, your images are read and measured in your browser. They are not uploaded, and we receive no copy.

Repair tools: processed in memory, never stored

If you use a repair feature, the image you choose is uploaded to our own server. It is processed in memory there: we cut out the product, place it on white and resize it. The image is not written to disk, not stored and not passed to any third party, and it is discarded once the result has been sent back to you.

If we ever change this, we will update this page before we do.

Payments and what we store about your plan

Payments are handled by Creem. We never see or store your card details. We keep only:

  • your license key,
  • the email address and customer reference that Creem gives us for your purchase,
  • your plan, subscription status and billing period end,
  • your monthly usage count.

Free allowance and abuse prevention

To limit free repair previews we count them per network address. We store a hash of the address, not the address itself. If Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled on the repair page, it tells people from bots and may process technical data such as your IP address under Cloudflare’s own policy. Like most servers, ours writes basic request logs for security and debugging; for a repair they record the size, duration and result code, never the image or its file name.

Browser storage

Your license key is saved in your browser’s local storage so you do not have to paste it again. You can remove it on the Account page. This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Creem handles payments on our behalf, and our server runs with our hosting provider. We do not send repair images to any other service.

Your requests

Email hello@shelfrules.com to ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted. Because there are no accounts, we may ask for your license key to find your records.
