Amazon image size and format requirements
Short answer: Amazon images need a longest side of at least 500 px. Staff posts conflict on the larger numbers, so we flag 1000 px as the level where zoom works and treat 1600 px as the recommended size. Accepted formats are JPEG, PNG. Smaller files fail outright, mid-sized files get a warning, and the checker lists the exact numbers it measured.
No images yet. Results appear as a platform-by-rule matrix: red for fail, yellow for warning, green for pass, grey for needs a human check.
Amazon staff statements on image size do not agree with each other. We therefore keep three tiers: a hard minimum, a level where zoom works, and a recommended size. The tiers below show which one each number belongs to.
