Amazon main image requirements
Short answer: Amazon's main image needs a pure white background (RGB 255) and the product should fill at least 85% of the frame. Text, logos, watermarks and added graphics are not allowed on the main image. These rules come from Amazon staff statements on the Seller Forums, because Amazon's own guideline page needs a seller login to read. Run your file through the checker below to see which of these it fails.
No images yet. Results appear as a platform-by-rule matrix: red for fail, yellow for warning, green for pass, grey for needs a human check.
The main image is the first picture shoppers and search results see. Amazon treats it more strictly than secondary images: the background, how much of the frame the product fills, and the absence of added text or graphics all matter.
