Shopify image file formats and file size limit
Short answer: Shopify accepts PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, SVG, HEIC, WebP files, and each file must be at most 20 MB. The checker identifies the format from the file header, not the extension, so a renamed file is caught. We take megabytes as 1,000,000 bytes, the stricter reading, to avoid a false pass.
